CMC Kuhnke – ENR Enamel Rater Fully Automated

Fully automatic Enamel Rater, which tests the quality/porosity of the coating on metal packaging

Can be used for 2-piece and 3-piece cans.

Operation
The machine automatically controls the feeding, positioning and filling of the can with electrolyte (saline in distilled water). The ENR measures the leakage current at an applied voltage. The quality/porosity of the coating can be deduced from this.
